Direct USB. No Android Mixer.
Ryft talks to your DAC itself, over the USB connection. Android's audio mixer, resampler and sound effects are never in the path.
A bit-perfect USB DAC player for Android. Ryft USB Player bypasses the Android audio mixer and sends your FLAC and WAV files straight to your external DAC — at their native sample rate and bit depth, with nothing resampled, mixed or processed on the way.
Ryft USB Player does one thing: deliver your music to a USB DAC exactly as it was recorded.
Ryft talks to your DAC itself, over the USB connection. Android's audio mixer, resampler and sound effects are never in the path.
The DAC clock switches to each file's own rate — 44.1, 48, 96, 192 kHz and higher. If your DAC cannot play a rate, Ryft tells you instead of quietly converting it.
At full volume the samples reach your DAC bit for bit. Set the loudness on your DAC or amp; the in-app volume is there only when you need it.
Class-compliant USB DACs, dongles and DAC/amps — from pocket dongles to desktop units. No drivers, no extra apps.
Connect your DAC and Android offers to open Ryft. Unplug it mid-track and playback stops cleanly. When you stop, the DAC goes back to Android for your other apps.
Twin needle meters with peak lights show the signal you are actually sending — a classic hi-fi look for a modern player.

Analog VU meters, track format and sample rate at a glance. Background playback keeps going with the screen off, with controls in your notification shade.
See which DAC is connected and whether it is ready for bit-perfect playback. Switch between DACs and reconnect in one tap.
Browse the folders you choose, sort by name, date, size, length or play count, or arrange tracks in your own order. No scanning, no media database.
A built-in USB report shows what your DAC supports — interfaces, sample rates, bit depths. Copy it or export a playback report when you need help.
Most Android players hand your music to the system mixer, which may resample it to a fixed rate and blend in other sounds. Ryft USB Player skips all of that. Whenever your DAC supports the file's sample rate and bit depth, each 16-, 24- or 32-bit sample from your FLAC or WAV file is sent to the DAC unchanged — the bitstream your DAC receives is identical to the file.
A native C engine reads your file, packs the samples into the exact format your DAC asks for, and streams them over USB in real time. It sets the DAC clock for every track and follows the DAC's own timing, so playback stays steady without drift or dropouts.
Analog-style VU meters follow the real output with classic needle movement, and peak lights flash when your music hits the top of the scale. Pure eye candy for the music — the meters only watch the signal, they never change it.
A custom audio engine written in C, bridged to the app via Dart FFI. Its own USB audio driver runs on Android's standard USB access — no root, no libusb, no FFmpeg, no GPL code. Every part of the path is there to keep your samples exactly as they are.
No drivers. No accounts. No setup wizards.
Download Ryft USB Player from Google Play. No ads, no accounts, no internet access.
Connect your USB DAC — with a USB-C cable or an OTG adapter — and allow access when Android asks.
Choose your music folder and press play. Your files reach the DAC exactly as they are.
Why a USB DAC alone is not enough: what happens to your music on its way out.

|---|---|---|
| Path to the DAC | Through the Android mixer | Direct USB |
| Sample rate | Often converted to a fixed rate | The file's own rate |
| Bit depth | Chosen by the system | Kept from the file* |
| Other app sounds | Mixed into your music | Never mixed in |
| System effects | May be applied | Never applied |
| DAC cannot play a rate | Quietly converted | You are told, nothing is converted |
